Your Hosts: Gretel & TonyWhen we rounded the headland to the vista of Horseshoe Bay and Gulaga it was love at first sight. We just knew that Bermagui one day had to be our home. Six years and a lot of hard work later, the dream has become a reality. Gretel spent her formative years in England and East Africa, and Tony has lived in England and briefly in the Middle-East. Australia has been home for well over two decades, yet we still love travel and have many tales to share from our journeys around the world. We stayed in many B&Bs in Australia and overseas, so it is a delight to bring these experiences to our own B&B, and be part of the tourism industry in a small coastal community. After a varied career overseas and In Australia in teaching, research and Government, Tony now works as a community Pharmacist on the NSW far south coast. Gretel's Commonwealth Public Service career spanned 25 years, in many different departments, and she now loves her newfound career in Bermagui. We have two children, a daughter who is currently living in the UK and a son in Canberra. Our family is complete with our elderly cat, Mgutu, who lives with us at Bellbird Cottage. Bellbird Cottage has long been a B&B, and when, in 2008, the opportunity to buy her arose, it seemed that fate had played its part. Following extensive renovations, Bellbird Cottage B&B was proudly re-opened at the end of that year.Art on Hart close by in Hart St was also opened in December 2008, offering B&B-style or self-contained accommodation. Art on Hart is about relaxing with space and ocean breezes, a modern and stylish setting for memories of childhoods spent at the beach, feeding the birds while lunch sizzles away on the BBQ. If you're staying with us in the forest at Bellbird Cottage, enjoy the quality food, sumptuous rooms and relaxing, tranquil woodland setting, unwinding and leaving the world behind, at least for a little while. It is a thrill to be able to offer value for money, high quality accommodation in Bermagui, for guests wanting to escape to this magnificent part of the world. We pride ourselves on our warmth, hospitality and our quality of accommodation. Our goal is to provide comfort, style and the little luxuries that make a stay special. If you have any special requests, then let us know how we can help to create a memorable stay for you. Hope to meet you soon. Gretel & Tony
